Once upon a time, there was a passionate young lawmaker from South Carolina that cared about “honor and integrity” of the person sitting in the Oval Office. That lawmaker gave a rallying speech in favor of Bill Clinton’s impeachment. He inspired many with the way he adamantly stood for principle and morality.
That bright-eyed young lawmaker was Lindsey Graham (R-SC):
“You don’t even have to commit a crime, to lose your job. Impeachment is not about punishment. Impeachment is about cleansing the office. Impeachment is about restoring honor and integrity to the office.” Lindsey Graham #LindseyGrahamResign pic.twitter.com/m4r4yuP5hU

Since that speech many years have gone by, and that not-so-young lawmaker is still clinging to his seat in the Senate.
But time has changed Graham. Now, he no longer cares about “integrity”. He no longer stands by his principles:

When did Lindsey Graham decide to leave behind honor and blindly follow the President down his paths of corruption? It wasn’t that long ago that Graham didn’t care much for Trump…
That moment when @LindseyGrahamSC almost held on to his principles and his soul. That moment when he knew the truth about @realDonaldTrump. But that moment has passed. He is all in …soul and everything! https://t.co/hNRFfKDLpz

Perhaps, Lindsey Graham will one day find his way back to his path of “honor and integrity”.
